We are well into our third month of the official VFW year.
Thanks to all that helped out on August 12th clean up day,
we sure made a big difference around the Post.
Commander Deyo would like to thank the many volunteers who
help out, a deserving an serious Thank You , for giving your
time on August 19 th at the Post 20 Week Club BBQ , that
included setup, cooking ,serving, clean up and break down
and the many more other assignments that day. It was a great
success and, everyone had a great time. Best of luck to the
winners of the 20 Week Club drawings.
2007 Dues our being sent out now, by the National VFW renew

2007. Let’s do it.
The
Department of New York, Veterans of Foreign Wars Fall Conference
will be held on October 13-15, 2006 at the Holiday
Inn, Liverpool, New York.
The
office of Chaplin in the Veterans of Foreign Wars is an
important one although the
person in that position is
seldom given adequate recognition. I would like to take the
time to thank Joe Rappa for his continuous support to the
membership of Post 8645 as Post Chaplin; Joe duties include
funerals with the Post Rifle and Honor Guard when asked to
honor a veteran. With veterans from WW II dying at a rate
of about 1,500 a day or more through out the United States,
Participation in funerals is an increasing responsibility.
“Again Thanks Joe ".

Sunday, September 10th at 12

who have lost a loved one, our deepest sympathy.
